Message from Pastor Cao at the Hope Student Center:

To all brothers and sisters in the Lord, please remember us in your prayers! The patient laying on the bed was a father of four children Ma Da Le. People told me that he had a stroke two days ago and was paralyzed from the waist down. I was curious why there was no one to take care of him and only his four children were around his bedside. After finding out more detail, I learned that for the past seven to eight years, Le was addicted to drugs and would beat up his own father. After his father died, he started to beat up his wife. Two years ago, his wife could not stand it anymore. She ended up running away to China and re-married. As a result, Le was left with his four young children. The children lived fearfully under the roof. Whenever his drug addiction flared up, he would hit his children. I could not imagine the kind of lives these children were having but was told that they managed to survive a day with food and a day without through the neighbors’ help.

Today, I brought along Minister Yu to the village to visit Le. We prayed for him and taught him how to confess his own sins and repent. May the Lord have mercy toward him and heal him, so that he would return to Him. Tomorrow, I will bring over some food like rice, oil, and vegetables, etc., for the children. I hope this can help the children, so they will not go hungry. Thank you for your prayers. We desire that this man, who merely claimed himself to be a Christian in the past, will truly recognize his own wrongdoing, repent, and believe in God.
