Christmas Letter of Go and Love Foundation

Dear Friends of Go and Love,

Season’s Greetings! “Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.” (2 Thessalonians 1:2) 

Last year in 2017, Go and Love had to discontinue many ministries as we waited for our nongovernmental organization (NGO) reregistration application to be approved in China. We later found out that not only did our application get approved, but also that Go and Love was 1 out of 300 remaining NGOs within China (previously, there were more than 7,000 NGOs). We thank God that we are still able to touch the lives of those in China!

God has opened many new doors for Go and Love in 2018. This past May, we had the opportunity to travel to Myanmar and visit the local ministries there. While the country is largely Buddhist, there are still Christian churches that also have schools. Due to poverty, many of those schools are in great need of resources and qualified teachers who can teach English and the Bible in Chinese. This led to the start of the first English Character-building Summer Camp in northern Myanmar this past August.

We are also thankful and excited to share that we are partnering with Hope Student Center in northern Myanmar. Many parents in northern Myanmar have fallen into drug addiction and are unable to care for their children. Hope Student Center was established to help those children so that they do not need to work but can continue their education and be spiritually mentored.  

Additionally, we were able to expand our projects to Lijiang, Yunnan Province this year with the Light the Way financial aid program and an elementary school renovation project.  A Lijiang official of the Overseas Chinese Affairs office also assigned financial aid recipients to research their hometowns during their summer vacation as a way to better understand the needs of the villagers. In turn, we can more effectively help their villages develop holistically.

We feel very blessed that this year, more than 13 people accepted Christ through our ministry!

These past few months have been busy as we were searching for a new place to relocate our office. We thank God that we have found a new place in Burlingame, CA and will be moving on January 5, 2019.

• Praise God that our team will be growing. Starting in 2019, a sister will join Go and Love as an Assistant to the CEO.
• On January 5, 2019 the Go and Love Headquarters will be moving from Sunnyvale to 433 Airport Blvd in Burlingame, CA. 94010.  Please pray for a smooth transition.  We need volunteers to help move and set up our computers.
• Please pray for the development in our ministries in 2019, especially in the partnership with Hope Student Center in Myanmar.
• Please pray that God provides us with volunteers and workers in California, China and Myanmar.
